2014, during my first-ever Kickstarter showcasing my ideas for VX Wizard's innovative puzzle furniture. I read a comment from a post that said,"We noticed the loveseat rocker. Could you design a throne to help Santa's with their storytelling that is comfortable, photogenic, portable, and not a rocking chair?"

I responded to the comment and discovered the sender was a representative of the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas (IBRBS), called Santa Nova. After going back and forth on the idea, I rose to the challenge and responding quickly, had a cardboard mockup created and added it to my Kickstarter.

When they saw it, the very next day, what ignited was a firestorm of interest like a fireworks display. With that inspiration, I went straight to work, transitioning that cardboard mockup to a practical full-scale design.

With Santa Nova providing some incentive with financing and marketing the project, I pondered various designs to assemble the throne for the Santa masses.

 

With a lot of trial and error, we settled on a design and Heirloom puzzle chairs and furniture allowed one Santa to have a wonderful Christmas sharing joy and happiness in the world. Over time we sold about 20 chairs to the Santa community and we have never looked back. All because we filled a need asked for by an underserved community of great people working hard to share joy and keep smiles on countless faces.
